What important, related ideas/issues are not addressed in this resource?	An appeal will not change things in an immediate or significant way. Many NGO organizations exist where the individual can create change through community. Government and intergovernmental agencies provide a platform to voice opinions, and often, money to support accompanying action.
What important ideas are implied by the resource, but not taught explicitly?	Children can make their concerns widely heard. Children have had concerns for the world they live in. Children need to continue to voice their concerns. The UN values the voices of children. The UN is an important world governing body.
To enhance this resource the following changes would be beneficial:	Provide a note taking framework to students that will help them to consider their chosen point through multiple systems. Ensure students are not left coping with feelings of hopelessness. In an accompanying lesson look at the good work that is going on around the world by people concerned with these issues and end by generate ideas, perhaps back in their groups, for how the students themselves can live the changes that address their concerns.

Action Skills	Poor/Not considered	The lesson does not specifically examine the components or framing of the appeal. It does not provide the background needed for students to understand how they could come to participate in an intergovernmental hearing such as this.
