The students will explore via video, a protected marsh and learn of one person's efforts to make a difference. Afterwards the students are given a number of questions to promote reflection on the conservation issues raised in the video. Students also explore wetland values, locally, nationally and globally by researching ecozones and other related topics. As a final activity the students develop a code of behaviour or code of ethics for environmentally responsible land development.
The resource would benefit from the addition of more activities that would allow for interaction and peer teaching rather than just research questions.
